
Working closely with infectious disease control in the United Kingdom, Dr Rod Stephenson worked to control the outbreak of foot and mouth disease in 2001.

In 2007, Dr Rod Stephenson worked as a liason officer between government agencies and the community to develop and implement an action plan to ensure the containment and control of the Equine Influenza outbreak in South East Queensland.

Dr Rod Stephenson has completed both a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Veterinary Science for the University of Queensland.

Growing up in western Queensland and having worked with large animals for over 40 years, Rod is comfortable with large animal husbandry.

Dr Stephenson is a registered member of the Australian Veterinary Association.
